Being a visionary
By Michael Waters President, Phase 1 Sports Vision.
The act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be: prophetic vision; the vision of an entrepreneur. The same way a navigation system works, is the same way the vision of an entrepreneur works. Before any road trip most people determine the destination before they start the journey. Once the destination has been determined, it can now be entered into the navigation system. From that point on, the navigations job is to successfully guide you to that destination. Whether there is construction, traffic, accidents or any other detours, the system will redirect and continue to guide you to the destination. If you make a wrong turn, stop to get gas and end up completely off track; what happens?
The navigation system recalculates and gets you back on the proper course and eventually leads you to your destination. No matter how long it took or what you had to go through, that original vision of arriving at that destination is now real. So why would we set out to build a successful business, relationship or anything else without first having a clearly defined vision of where they want to go.
Proverbs 28:18 says it like this “Where there is no vision, the people parish”. So before you set out to build that multimillion dollar business, perfect marriage, or friendship, first start with a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. The value of knowing exactly where you are going and having a clear vision will ultimately determine your level of success. One of the most commonly used words when describing a successful person is VISIONARY.
