Decide, Discipline, Faith
3 Key Words

The best way to start this article is by giving you my definition of 3 key words that can change your life.
- Decide: Death of all other options
- Discipline: Do what you are suppose to do, then do what you want to do
- Faith: Believe that it is not going to be easy, but it is going to be worth it Years ago, this became my personal viewpoint and strategy on everything fitness and health.
Being a trainer for over 15 years, I’ve heard every excuse possible. Some legit and others not so much! When you have a passion to help people accomplish their goal, it can become very frustrating when it doesn’t happen. So how do you stay motivated, stay on your mission, and ultimately accomplish your goals. Here is my personal secret to success whether it’s fitness, business, relationships or any other area of your life.
Number 1: You must make the decision to change and/or accomplish your goal. That seems like a easy thing to do. “I want to lose 20 pounds!” Easy right? Then why do so many people fail? One reason is because they make the decision, but they are not as committed to it as it may seem. So here’s the mindset. Once you make that decision; it has to mean death of all other options. So anything that takes you off course can no longer exist in your world. Let me guess, you’re thinking how is that possible. That brings us to our second word… Discipline.
Number 2: You have to have the discipline to do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. So that means do the things you have to do and in due time, you can do the things that you want to do. The last piece to that puzzle may be the most important. In order to stay consistent you must have a level of belief that you are going to accomplish your goal. So the third key word is Faith.
Number 3: There will be ups and downs, wins and losses. There will be times that you want to quit; that’s where faith comes in. For me personally it’s a belief in God that I can accomplish all things. The world will always create distractions, so it is very important to focus on the end result.
So once that decision is made, apply the discipline to stay on course and have faith that you will accomplish your goals!
